Audience feedback

1. In a short paragraph tell us what you think of our products?

- The video and products are good especially your video however your CD case is to basic and is boring; if you are going to use black and white maybe you need something else like more detail to catch the audiences eye. I like your poster and the way the images in both products match. The only thing i would change in the video is the lip sync and zoom it looks abit messy.

- For a first attempt your video is well done however there are some improvements to make for example the lip syncing is either in time or completely out and the consistency isn't there. Similarly to your lighting its good and then then end scene is too over exposed. I think your location is good and actors play the roles well. You advert is good and shows your product well although your Digipak doesn't quite live up to the same standards and lets the rest down.

2. Do you like the text font we used?

- Yes the font was cool and quirky. It was also different and really matched the chosen genre.

- I like the font you used as its different and therefor eye catching. It works well against both the white and imaged background and matches the style of genre.

3. Do you feel the actors were appropriate?

- The actors were really good and showed a good connection and chemistry. They acted well however the lip syncing was a little out of time.

- Your casting for your products was good and the couple had a great connection and showed a good on screen relationship. They worked well together and looked pleasing on screen.

4. Did you think the type of film we shot matched the music?

-  Yes everything worked well together, and really complemented the music.

- I do, the music went well with the location, actors, story line etc.

Audience feedback - Font Test

To gain other point of views regarding the font type to use in our ancillary products we decided to create a font test to gain some feedback. We questioned 25 random people around the college and asked them which font they felt best suited the product. The results were mixed but there was one font which got the most recommendations and had 36% of the votes; this was called 'a series of unfortunate events' .

We decided based on our audience feedback to make our ancillary products with this font as it was a modern font with a very distinctive look. We felt this would be good for our ancillary products as we wanted them to be modern and have something abstract about them so they would stand out and be noticed. I have not seen the font used before on a product like this therefore making it exclusive to this market; our product may become associated with the font.

Cross media advertising

This is the albums advertising found in 10the september 2011 edition of NME. They have used the same colours and image that was used on there album cover shown below also in ther video 'Amber hands'; this there fore shows a running theme between the products showing cross media advertising.

The pale peach colours suggest innocence and that it may appeal more to a female audince however the 'S.C.U.M' is a derogatory term and is opposite to both the colour and pictures the band have portrayed.

The advertsing clearly shows the album can be brought in Amazon on a pre-order giving there fans the chance to get it first without in selling out; it also shows the how the audinece can purchase it 'CD/ Deluxe Vinyl/ Download' which makes it available to a wider audince. Also shows us that they are featuring in 'NME emerge radar tour' tells you where you can find the dates and links you to
their website so you have to look around there website to find what you are looking for thus in force interetsing the audince futher.

Final Digipak

This is our final Digipak. We wanted the layout of the Digipak to look bare and simple so that it symbolized that the CD was all about the music. The pictures on the Digipak were taken on the same location as the music video and advert. This was so it gave a sense of continuity between the products and combined them to allow the audience to realize they're the same band/artists. We also used the same actors so that it was more professional and made all the products combine.

Final Advert

This is our final advert. It was created on Photoshop CS5 where we edited the photograph first and created the text after. The shot was taken in the same location as our music video and Digipak, this was done to show a sense of continuity and cross media advertisement. We have tried to make it as modern as possible by using new media forms like the blackberry barcode scanner to get a copy of the advert. We downloaded the font from Dafont.com and its 'an unfortunate event', we chose this as we felt it worked best with the advert and gave it a modern touch.
